Hunting in Northern Nevada

For the more traditional outdoorsman, local hunting and fishing are in abundance and it’s some of the finest. Tags can be purchased through the Nevada Department of Wildlife for big game like Elk, Deer, Lion, and Bear. Small game hunters for Rabbit, Quail, Grouse, Chukar, and all waterfowl and other migratory birds.

All tags applications and regional hunting information can be accessed from the local Nevada Department of Wildlife branch in Elko at 775-777-2300 or (www.ndow.org). Mountain Lion tags are available over the counter - no tag lottery drawing is necessary. The available game animals are:
